boohoo Women's Checked High Neck Split Side Mini Dress in Purple | Size: 10 | Mesh/Polyurethane

Product details

Mesh fabric with a slight stretch - it skims the body without clinging, moving with you rather than against you The diagonal check print gives the dress a painterly, almost watercolour quality that sets it apart from a standard grid check High neck with long sleeves creates a covered-up silhouette that still reads as a going-out dress at mini length A split at the hem adds just enough movement at the thigh, breaking up the otherwise sleek, close-to-body line Mini length sits well above the knee - the model wears it as a standalone dress with loose hair kept simple to let the print do the talking The high neck and long sleeves do something interesting here - they balance the short hem so the overall shape feels considered rather than just brief. The mesh has enough give to sit smoothly across the body without pulling, and the split at the side means it's easy to walk in without tugging at the skirt. It's a dress that works hard across the day-to-night stretch: worn to the office with pointed-toe boots and a structured coat, it reads polished; swap the coat for a small shoulder bag come evening and it shifts gear entirely. The diagonal check keeps it from feeling too classic or too safe - this isn't your standard plaid. A simple strappy heel or ankle boot both work well here, and the high neck means you can skip the jewellery entirely and still look put-together. Ideal for after-work drinks, a night out, or a weekend event where you want one outfit to carry you through. | boohoo Women's Checked High Neck Split Side Mini Dress in Purple.
