Japanese Seersucker Simple Jacket

Material: Cotton

Gender: Men

After more than a year of development, we’re thrilled to introduce a brand new item to our seasonal offering. Cut and sewn completely by hand in the USA and meant to complement our shirts, the "Simple" Jacket represents our continued pursuit of heritage craftsmanship and quintessential GV taste. Inspired by the understated elegance of the 1960s sack suit, we've reimagined the silhouette with thoughtful modern details, resulting in a garment that wears with the comfort of a shirt but carries the presence of a refined sport coat. It’s relaxed but intentional, designed to move seamlessly across occasions from casual mornings to polished evenings. Though this jacket feels like something Max Gitman himself might have worn 60 years ago, it fits just as effortlessly into the wardrobe of the modern man. Each jacket is cut and sewn at our sister factory in Rochester, New York, a place where traditional tailoring techniques still guide every stitch. Established in 1899 and standing as the oldest tailoring house in the country, the craftsmanship here isn’t just skilled; it’s storied. Rounding out this Simple Jacket is a cream and navy-striped Japanese-woven 100% cotton seersucker. Woven with much more structure than our shirting seersuckers, this fabric adds body and structure to our Simple Jacket, keeping it fresh and proportioned all day long.
