Alexander Girard Crimson & Ochre Woven Brocade

Originally released during our AW23 collaboration with Alexander Girard, Arabesque (1954) embodies Girard’s exploration into fabric weaving and color. The design was originally developed by Girard during his tenure as the Head of Fabric and Textile Division at Herman Miller and has been used in countless applications from upholstery to wallpaper. To continue Girard’s emphasis of quality craftsmanship, we had Arabesque meticulously reengineered at our Italian partner mill on a midweight 100% cotton brocade. Each color was matched to its original Pantone and the weave structure was kept consistent with Girard’s original textile blueprint.
