boohoo Women's Lace Trim Square Neck Cami Mini Dress in Black | Size: 6 | Polyurethane/Satin

Product details

Square neckline with a wide band of fine, open-worked lace trim that runs the full width of the bust - the same lace reappears as a deep hem border, giving the dress a considered, matched finish rather than an afterthought detail. The satin-like main fabric hangs smoothly and sits just above mid-thigh, with enough weight to drape cleanly without clinging. Thin adjustable shoulder straps keep the silhouette minimal and let the lace do the talking at both the neckline and hem. The lace itself has a floral, open-worked construction with a delicate finish - intricate up close, but reads as a strong graphic stripe from a distance. A straight, boxy cut through the body means this sits away from the waist rather than pulling in - the length and the lace create the occasion feel, not a fitted shape. This dress slots into a getting-ready rotation that already holds a blazer and a pair of strappy heels. The straight cut means it layers neatly under an oversized tailored jacket for a pre-dinner drink, then comes into its own once the jacket comes off. The lace trim at the hem is wide enough to anchor the whole look, so there's no need to over-accessorise - statement drop earrings, as the model wears here, are all it takes. It's the kind of piece that works at a wedding evening reception just as well as it does at a birthday dinner or a graduation night out, without any restyling required. Keep footwear sleek - a pointed-toe heel or barely-there sandal keeps the proportions right with the mini length. A small clutch bag rounds it off without competing with the lace detail. | boohoo Women's Lace Trim Square Neck Cami Mini Dress in Black.
