boohoo Women's Hotfix Lace Midi Skirt in Black | Size: 6 | Elastane/Satin/Velvet

Product details

Fine lace fabric with an open-worked floral pattern that catches the light - the hotfix detailing scattered across the surface adds a subtle, party-ready sparkle without overwhelming the design. The skirt sits low on the hip with a wide, ruched waistband that folds over smoothly, giving it a relaxed drop-waist silhouette that skims past the knee at midi length. Semi-sheer lace overlay sits over a fully lined skirt, so the lining does the modesty work while the lace does all the talking on top. The elastane in the lace blend means the skirt moves with you rather than against you - it stretches just enough to keep the fit comfortable through the waist and hips without losing its shape. Midi length hits below the knee, making it a strong choice when you want a statement skirt that still feels considered rather than overdone. This skirt slots straight into any wardrobe that already has a crop top or a fitted cami - the model here wears it with a halterneck crop and a compact patent bag, which is exactly the kind of pairing it was made for. The low-rise waistband and the sheer lace panel work best when the top is tucked or cropped, keeping the proportions balanced. For a Christmas party, layer it with a strappy satin or velvet top and barely-there heels, letting the hotfix sparkle carry the festive moment. On Christmas Day itself, swap the crop for a fitted roll-neck and ankle boots to bring the formality up a notch without losing any of the occasion dressing. The lining means you are not reliant on shapewear underneath, which makes it far more practical than it first appears. Keep jewellery minimal - a fine chain or small hoops are all this skirt needs alongside it. | boohoo Women's Hotfix Lace Midi Skirt in Black.
