Product details

Longline silhouette that falls to the mid-calf, giving the coat a sweeping, coat-dress proportion that works open or worn as a wrap. Wide, structured collar sits high at the back of the neck and folds back into a deep lapel - the kind of detail that holds its shape without needing to be fussed with. The fabric has a soft drape and cool handfeel that skims the body rather than adding bulk, so it layers cleanly over thicker knits without losing its shape. Relaxed through the shoulders and arms, with a gentle A-line swing from the waist - it moves easily and never feels stiff. Side pockets sit deep enough to actually use, and their placement keeps the side seam looking clean from the front. This coat slots straight into a wardrobe that already has tailored trousers and simple basics - it does the heavy lifting so the rest of the outfit doesn't have to. The model wears it open over a fitted white vest and wide-leg pinstripe trousers with loafers, which is exactly the right balance: something relaxed underneath, something with a bit of structure below. That combination works just as well with straight-leg jeans and a ribbed long-sleeve top for a weekend outing, or thrown over a shirt dress for a casual dinner. The longline cut makes it a natural match for wide-leg or straight silhouettes rather than anything fitted at the hem - trousers that tuck into boots would disappear underneath it. It's the kind of coat that gets worn on rotation from early autumn through to late winter, not because it's trying to be a statement, but because it works with almost everything already hanging in the wardrobe. | boohoo Women's Collared Wool Look Coat in Grey.
