At Battenwear’s former design studio in Topanga Canyon, California, winter afternoons were sunny and pleasant, but mornings and evenings could be deeply chilly. The Canyon Shirt Jacket was designed to handle that balance—warm enough for early morning hikes or surf trips, and equally suited for late nights back in the studio. With a relaxed, roomy fit that layers easily over a sweatshirt or fleece, and five practical pockets , it carries the utilitarian vibe of a chore jacket while maintaining versatility for both outdoor adventures and city life. This model is an updated version of our classic Five Pocket Canyon Shirt , reworked with roomier construction to better accommodate layering. The collar and sleeves have also been refined for a more contemporary look.
