Gemma Chan in Dries Van Noten at the Josephine Premiere

Gemma Chan wore the Daralyn dress from Dries Van Noten's Fall 2026 collection to the Josephine screening at the 70th BFI London Film Festival: a long, printed, many-coloured column that only Dries does, with the colours clashing on purpose. There is no look-alike for a Dries print, so this one is a house pick. Below, why it works and the Dries Van Noten pieces on BranSpot right now.

The look

Red Carpet Fashion Awards logged it as the multicoloured Daralyn dress, Dries Van Noten Fall 2026 (Red Carpet Fashion Awards). The point of a Dries print is that it refuses to coordinate: several saturated colours on one long column, cut simply so the fabric carries the whole look. Chan kept everything else quiet, which is the only way to wear it.

How to wear it

Dries Van Noten is in our network with close to nine hundred pieces. The Daralyn itself is not among them, but the house's current dresses carry the same colour play: the fuchsia Robe au Genou is the one to wear if you want Dries without the runway price, and the pleated fringe midi has the movement. Finish with gold, not silver; Dries colours want warmth, and one slightly odd crystal earring is enough.
